1984 . . .

  • Foundation of the GAS - Automation GmbH in St. Georgen in the Black Forrest by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. W.-D.Goedecke.

1985 . . .

  • Meeting concerning development of the servopneumatic linear actuator LA 85 in the Technology Centre of St. Georgen.
  • Welcome of the chief-minister of Baden-Württemberg, Mr. Lothar Späth, on the booth of GAS during Hanover Fair.
  • Presentation of the world’s first programmable servopneumatic handling actuators during Hanover Fair. The actuator is awarded a prize by the industrial forum “Gute Industrieform”.
  • Presentation of the world’s first programmable servopneumatic handling actuators during Hanover Fair. The actuators are judged with enthusiasm due to their unique features of high dynamics (5 m/s) and Repeatability (0,01 mm).
  • First servopneumatic twin gantry system with four active linear actuators.

1987 . . .

  • Completion of the GAS product divisions by the microvalves division.

1989 . . .

  • Completion of the product range of servopneumatic actuator systems by electric toothed belt actuators, using reliable standard components coming from servopneumatics.

1990 . . .

  • Disposal of the GAS servopneumatics division to Mannesmann Rexroth.

1993 . . .

  • Organisation of an international sales network by Mannesmann Rexroth.

1996 . . .

  • Repurchase of the servopneumatics division from Mannesmann Rexroth and organisation of the valve technology division.

1998 . . .

  • Development of a standardized control and programming concept for servopneumatic and servoelectric acutators.

2000 . . .

  • Successful presentation of the first GAS linear motor actuator during the MOTEK exhibition in Sinsheim.

2001 . . .

  • Takeover of the NVH analysis products from IMT (Industrielle Messtechnik) and organisation of the NVH products division.

2002 . . .

  • Foundation of the representation axnum AG in Switzerland. First palletizing systems with linear motor actuators are sold.
  • Move to new company building at commercial center Perterzell-Hagenmoos in St. Georgen

2003 . . .

  • Completion of the concept and start of the production of the first stand-alone depanelling system SAR-1000 and ILR 1500.

2004 . . .

  • Start of the sales cooperation between GAS and Schunk GmbH & Co.KG - gripper systems.

2005 . . .

  • Production of the linear motor axis AP-T for the higher load range. Presentation of the complete program with benefits separator cutters, saws and laser at Productronica in Munich

2006 . . .

  • Adoption of the worldwide sales and service benefits of the program by the isolator company Tyco Electronics Corporation (USA).
